Who is SLOCEA?

Member Founded & Governed
The San Luis Obispo County Employees’ Association (SLOCEA) was founded in 1947 and represents more than 1,500 public employees in San Luis Obispo County. The SLOCEA Board of Directors are members elected by the membership.

Labor Representation
SLOCEA provides access to free and confidential labor representation to our members for disciplinary proceedings, grievance filings, interactive process (ADA Accommodations), MOU enforcement and more.

Collective Bargaining
As the exclusive representative for the Big Unit and Trades Unit, SLOCEA goes to the bargaining table with the County to negotiate employees’ wages, benefits, working conditions and worker’s rights.
