Emily Landis Assumes the Presidency

In accordance with SLOCEA Bylaws, Article IV, Section 2B, Vice President Emily Landis has assumed the SLOCEA presidency, effective the date of the vacancy (March 18, 2023). Accordingly, the office of Vice President is now vacant and may be filled at the April 19, 2023 Board of Directors meeting, in accordance with Bylaws Article IV, Section 4.

Erin Stitch resigned from the office of SLOCEA President on March 18, 2023. Erin has been a long-time advocate and supporter of SLOCEA, serving in SLOCEA leadership since 2014. Her experience, dedication and leadership have been invaluable to SLOCEA, and she will be greatly missed. Erin was appointed to the President’s seat in September 2020, while serving as the Vice President. Over the course of her service, Erin was a member on every SLOCEA committee, has been on the Board since 2016 and served on the Big Unit Negotiating Team. Erin has been a strong voice for member engagement and has recruited many members to serve as Stewards for their worksite locations. We thank Erin for her many years of service to SLOCEA and wish her the very best.

Emily Landis has served in SLOCEA leadership since 2015 when she became a Steward, and then joined the Board as a Director in 2016. She has served on many of the SLOCEA committees and was a member of the Big Unit Negotiating Team in 2022. Emily has worked for the County since 2014 and is a Program Review Specialist at the Department of Social Services.
