Introducing Women’s Pelvic Health Program through Hinge Health

Did you know that 1 in 4 women has a pelvic floor disorder? The average amount of time women wait to seek care is 6.5 years. We can change this with Hinge Health’s Women’s Pelvic Health program.

Women’s Pelvic Health Program

In addition to the current Hinge Health benefit, employees and dependents (ages 18+) enrolled in a County medical plan are eligible for Hinge’s free pelvic floor care.

This program will provide personalized exercise therapy for pregnancy, postpartum, bladder control, pelvic muscle strengthening, or pelvic muscle relaxation. You will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a clinical care team that specializes in pelvic floor care. Best of all, you will be able to do all of this from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Understanding Your Pelvic Floor

Your pelvic floor consists of a group of muscles and tissues attached to the bottom of your pelvis. These muscles and tissues support your pelvic organs, control your bladder, and much more. While it may not seem like it, it's one of the hardest working muscle groups in your body. Don’t overlook the importance of maintaining your pelvic health!

Pelvic Health

Many disorders and problems can be associated with a lack of pelvic health.

  • Pregnancy and childbirth have a huge impact on your body, but good pelvic health can help you with urinary issues, difficult bowel movements, and lower back or pelvic pain.

  • Injuries can stretch your abdominal muscles and contribute to pelvic and back pain. Strengthening your core muscles is necessary to help maintain your pelvic health!

  • Improving your pelvic health can help to improve bladder and bowel control.

  • Pelvic muscles can develop pain from stress, injury, and conditions like endometriosis. Exercise therapy can help provide relief from pain.
